While the campaign began in Khandwa, its methods and momentum are spreading. Our goal for 2025 is ambitious but achievable: 10,000 trees, 50 revived gardens, and mobile sapling vans for remote planting access. As the green spreads, so does the understanding that this is not just about trees — it’s about reclaiming balance, shade, and softness in an increasingly harsh world.
In growing towns like Khandwa, concrete has steadily replaced canopy. Public parks have become dumping grounds, trees have been felled for road expansions, and in many colonies, not a single shaded bench or green patch remains. The lack of urban trees is more than an aesthetic loss — it affects health, temperature, air quality, and psychological wellbeing. Children no longer know the names of native trees. Birds disappear. The soil hardens. Mission Green Khandwa was born from the simple belief that a city must breathe too. Our campaign works to restore lungs to Khandwa’s body — not by planting for photos, but by planting for permanence.
Our plantation drives go beyond planting — they begin with planning. We select locations based on community need, soil health, and long-term viability. We plant the sacred Triveni trio — Neem, Peepal, and Bargad — which offer oxygen, shade, and spiritual value. To date, we have planted over 800 trees across open spaces, school grounds, roadside medians, and temple compounds. We also adopt neglected gardens, clear debris, install fencing, add seating, and create spaces that invite people to rest — and respect. Each sapling is tagged, watered by local volunteers, and revisited monthly. Our motto is simple: Plant once, protect always.
Requests have come in from nearby towns to replicate the model. Urban planners have appreciated our garden revival maps. Young citizens who once took selfies with planted tree now return with their own children to water it.
Instilling a culture of long-term ecological responsibility. What began as a few volunteers planting saplings is now a structured movement — rooted in education, maintained with care, and led by citizens. Every tree we plant is monitored.
